premise:

seventeen make a podcast episode

comments:

did i mention that it seems like the gose budget was starting to run dry at the end of the year when i wrote my review for let's go home? because it's starting to seem like the budget is running dry LMFAO

my dear friend and favorite dinonara matthew told me that he thought this episode was genuinely one of the worst going seventeen episodes and i fear i have to agree. concept? where is it? it's like the exact opposite problem of innocent until proven guilty which was all construction from the staff and producers but gave us nothing to work with in terms of seventeen's actual personalities. chat, chat, on the other hand, is all seventeen's actual personalities without any of the construction that could help amplify that. when i tell you this was genuinely a SLOG for me to get through because they were literally just talking. like. okay? but we're trying to be going seventeen though. not call her daddy.

the fundamental problem here though, imo, is that in my very biased viewpoint podcasts are enjoyable because you can do other stuff while listening to them. they're fundamentally something where the visual medium is boring because the main focus is them talking. but for me, i just don't have the korean language skill to understand it. and that's my bad and 100% my fault and reliant on my preferred way to enjoy podcasts, but i still need to be glued to the screen the entire time to understand what they're talking about despite the lack of visual stimulation. idk. it's just a really wasted slot of an episode.

ranking:

concept: 1; we could've done so much more!

chemistry: 5; the members do get so much time to speak to each other, but the going seventeen format doesn't elevate it at all like it should

enjoyment: 2; i would spend my time watching any other gose episode other than this.
