LEGITIMATELY i rewatch the 'lotte world grand opening' part of this episode pretty much every 2 months. it has become such a comforting episode to me ever since it aired. be warned this review is HELLA biased but i LOVE this episode. the concept is super simple and barebones and, in the eyes of the producers, probably not worth the money spent - to the point where more footage was produced after all the races (though, i think, we could have been okay without). but i feel like it was 1000% worth it, especially since i don't think we'll get this again!
very rare to see jihoon as an actual emcee aside from simply being a host (such as in bad clue or going rangers), which, as we know, is 90% of the time in name only and without actual hosting, but i thought this was such a pleasant time even with that. it's so refreshing hearing jihoon hosting! (and he's also really good at it lol)
no matter how many times they go through the same obstacle course, i never found myself being bored since they did a new combo of members every time! it was super cool seeing minghao emerge as an ace early (and as a 'threat' to the other team) while wonwoo again emerges as a hidden athletic ace! i love seeing the dichotomy between who is athletic in certain situations and a bust in others (like every time they play jokgu, and also, soon to be talked about, seungkwan and ball sports). i loved seeing how dino and jeonghan just completely throw out the 'fair play' and shook things up and how everything built up to the race with all 13 members. plus, and this is very unrelated and not contributing to the score, but jihoon-ah and carni-bal are my favorite team names of going seventeen :)

concept: 8; consistently fun despite the simplicity! they really took this concept to the fullest
chemistry: 8; great showcase of different set ups through the pairings!
enjoyment: 9; one of my favorites, easily.
